About Me
I was sexually abused from the age of 8-15...it has been a long road but I am doing alright mostly! Every day I keep my head above water is another day that ‘he’ did not drag me under. I am not totally healed but I am so much less tangled up in what happened to me. I feel free to talk about what happened and to share my poetry. I have learnt to love my family for who they are rather than despising what they are not. I have learnt to take better care of myself and my inner child. Most of all I lived and learnt that saying “what does not break up makes us stronger”….I am not broken, I can put the pieces back together again, piece by piece. ‘He’ has to live which his conscious and what he did to me…Every day I feel is an opportunity to heal some more.
